On Monday, January 16, while being a day off for students in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our staff participated in a day of rewarding professional development with all of our sending school districts at Belmar Elementary School. I am very proud that three of our teachers demonstrated countywide leadership by presenting workshops for all of their colleagues.
Mrs. Marcus Feld presented a workshop of best practices in social studies for all sending school districts social studies teachers. Mr. DeStefano and Mrs. Pearce presented a workshop in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) integration into the curriculum for a variety of sending school districts teachers.
